Please join Janine D'Anniballe, Ph. D., Marti Hopper, Ph.D., and Emily M. Tofte, MSW, among a panel of experts presenting a comprehensive 1 1/2 day training on clinical issues and treatment provision for adolescent and adult survivors of sexual violence.
The panel will address the nature of sexual assault, and the impact of trauma, including physiological components, such as brain structures, biochemistry, and psychobiological effects. Additional topics will include mandatory reporting requirements, Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner exams, offender profiles, and how to approach survivors in a trauma-informed way. On Day Two, we will explore various traditional and non-traditional approaches to treatment.
Day One: February 23, 2012, 8am - 4pm

Day One will focus on the dynamics of sexual assault,
the neurobiology of trauma, tactics and characteristics
of sex offenders, mandatory reporting, SANE exams,
and confidentiality.
Day Two (half day): February 24, 2012, 8am - 11:30am (Clinicians Only. Must attend Day One to attend Day Two.)
Specifically designed for clinicians, Day Two will focus
on a clinical model of providing therapy services to survivors of sexual assault.
