Develoment Coordinator
- part time, 24 hrs per week with generous benefit package
General Duties and Responsibilities
The Development Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of fundraising and public information to ensure the successful solicitation of income from foundations, individuals, corporations, and organizations. This person will also assist the Team Leader with daily business operations and volunteer coordination efforts of MESA.
Specific Duties
Grant Writing

Assist in the writing and coordination of grant applications and reports

Oversee the collection and maintenance of agency statistics, demographic information, and other data needed for grant writing

Liaison with program staff on program specific grant reports and proposals

Maintains all contract files and works with Program Manager and Team Leader to ensure compliance with government funded programs
Volunteer Coordination

Coordinate all volunteers for event and office activities

Maintain active database of volunteers

Create and disseminate volunteer e-newsletter monthly
Special Events/Fundraising
-
Assist in the solicitation and recruitment of participants, sponsors, donors and in-kind contributions

Assist with the coordination of all special events and community fundraisers

Maintain donor database, including updating addresses and contacts with donors

Enter all donations into donor database and generate acknowledgement letters
Marketing/Public Relations

Develop written documents that support fundraising and marketing of the agency

Staff outreach tables and booths as needed
-
Maintain and update the agency website and social media tools
-
Liaison with the Information Systems Department with the Mental Health Center for computer and email systems.

Coordinate the agency newsletter
Business Operations
-
Oversee office systems to efficiently support office projects and operations

Coordinate office supplies, equipment, and materials

Assist Team Leader with accounts payable and receivable operations

Other duties as assigned by the Team Leader
Requirements
-
Ability to gather, analyze, and synthesize information and prepare convincing and compelling proposals, reports, letters, and other materials

Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills
-
Strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail and accuracy, ability to work independently, take initiative, and follow-through with tasks
-
Demonstrated ability to work well in teams
-
Excellent computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office; experience with Donor Perfect and Constant Contact a plus; experience with utilizing social media tools is a plus; graphic design experience a plus

Evening and weekend availability as needed
-
Passion and demonstrated commitment to social justice issues, anti-violence, and anti-oppression.

Must be able to lift 25 lbs
Compensation
Competitive with market rates for other Boulder County non-profit organizations includes generous benefit package
